Diploma, associate, baccalaureate, or graduate degree nursing students can receive funding for tuition, fees, and other educational costs in exchange for work at an eligible Critical Shortage Facility upon graduation.

  • Minority Access Incorporated: Call for abstracts for the 9th Annual Student Researchers Seminars at the 19th National Role Models Conference. Undergraduate students who are conducting research or have conducted research in biomedical sciences or engineering/technological areas are invited to orally present their research findings. Resources

  • US Preventive Services Task Force: New guidance. Prostate Cancer Screening Final Recommendation. Based on a review of the evidence, the Task Force recommends that men ages 55 to 69 make an individual decision about whether to be screened after a conversation with their clinician about the potential benefits and harms. For men age 70 years and older, the potential benefits do not outweigh the expected harms, and these men should not be routinely screened for prostate cancer. Learn more.

  • HHS/NIH is calling on national, regional, and local organizations across the country to ensure enrollment in the All of Us project. NIH has created a Community Engagement Toolkit that offers a number of ways for individuals or organizations to help spread the word about the project. The toolkit is available in English and Spanish.

  • Instituto Familiar de la Raza (IFR): New Spanish-language campaign. Viva PrEP. Co-developed by IFR with input from the Latino community, Viva PrEP's goal is to increase awareness of PrEP as an effective HIV prevention tool in the broader Latino community, as well as to increase PrEP usage among both Latino men who have sex with men, and transgender Latinas. This resource is currently only available in Spanish.

    El objetivo de Viva PrEP es incrementar la conciencia sobre PrEP como una herramienta efectiva para la prevención del VIH en la extensa comunidad latina, así como aumentar el uso de PrEP dentro de los hombres latinos que tienen sexo con hombres y de las mujeres transgénero.

  • In observance of National Women's Health Week May 13-19, the Knowledge Center recommends Chartbook on Women's Health Care, published by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). This report is part of a series of documents associated with the National Healthcare Quality and Disparities Report (QDR). It provides an overview of the QDR, women’s health, and health care quality and disparities among women. The report also covers quality and access measures for rural women, and includes numerous summary tables showing the data trends in topics like patient safety and care coordination.
