We are starting the third week of National Minority Health Month,
and I want to thank you for your support and for helping increase
awareness about the importance of partnerships in advancing health
equity.
Addressing disparities in health and health care is our mission
at the HHS Office of Minority Health. But, we cannot meet this mission alone —
everyone plays a role in improving the health of our communities. And that’s
what makes partnerships so important.
I
want to invite you to join us for the HHS National Minority Health
Month Observance on Tuesday, April 17th as we highlight collaborations at
the federal,
state, local, tribal, and territorial levels focused on health equity. I will be
joined by leaders from the HHS Office of the Secretary, Office of the Assistant
Secretary for Health, Indian Health Service and National Institute on Minority
Health and Health Disparities. Be sure to tune in via livestream at hhs.gov/live to learn how these
agencies are using partnerships to help improve the health of the nation.
