    Over 470,000 African Americans living with HIV. National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, 7 February.
    • In observance of National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NBHAAD), the Office of Minority Health Resource Center (OMHRC) will host a webinar, Fact or Fiction: Debunking HIV Myths in the Black Community. African Americans are disproportionately affected by HIV/AIDS. While African Americans only represent 12% of the population, they make up 44% of HIV diagnoses. This webinar will explore the facts and misconceptions about HIV/AIDS in the African American community and provide community health workers and public health professionals with an overview of the current challenges and evidence based solutions. February 6, 12:30 pm ET.       • HHS/NIH, Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD): Announcement of outreach stipends for Tribes and organizations serving AI/AN communities to have customized materials with Safe to Sleep Campaign messages printed by NICHD, utilizing the Healthy Native Babies Project Toolkit Disk. The Toolkit Disk allows individuals to design culturally appropriate and regionally specific materials with phrases translated into Native languages as well as photographs of Native families taken across the country.       • HHS/NIH: Call for ideas for the All of Us Research Program. NIH seeks ideas for important research questions that could be addressed by the All of Us program to inform future updates that would be of most benefit to participants, researchers, and the broader community. Submitted ideas will be considered at a Research Priorities Workshop in March 2018 and will help the program identify new features to add to support research across a range of health topics. Deadline is February 23.
