Overview:

In observance of National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NBHAAD), the Office of Minority Health Resource Center (OMHRC) will host a webinar, Fact or Fiction: Debunking HIV Myths in the Black Community. African Americans are disproportionately affected by HIV/AIDS. While African Americans only represent 12% of the population, they make up 44% of HIV diagnoses.

This webinar will explore the facts and misconceptions about HIV/AIDS in the African American community and provide community health workers and public health professionals with an overview of the current challenges and evidence based solutions.

Speaker:

Tamara Henry, Ed.D, Senior Program Analyst, Office of Minority Health Resource Center
