Subtitled Public Libraries as Partners for Population Health, the authors examine the Healthy Library Initiative, a partnership program between the University of Pennsylvania and the Free Library of Pennsylvania. The project provided support to vulnerable populations including immigrants, homeless persons, or those needing mental health services. They found that libraries are dependable institutions that have the potential to improve population health within their communities.
