  • National Science Foundation (NSF): Historically Black Colleges and Universities - Undergraduate Program (HBCU-UP) Grant. Provides awards to develop, implement, and study evidence-based models and approaches for improving the preparation and success of HBCU undergraduate students so that they may pursue STEM graduate programs and/or careers.   • HHS/National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) and the National Cancer Institute (NCI): Social Epigenomics Research Focused on Minority Health and Health Disparities (R01) Research Grant. Supports human epigenomic investigations focused on identifying and characterizing the mechanisms by which social experiences affect gene function and influence health trajectories or modify disease risk in racial/ethnic minority and health disparity populations.   • HHS/Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA): Nursing Workforce Diversity (NWD) Program. The overall purpose of the NWD program is to increase nursing education opportunities for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds, including ethnic and racial minorities who are underrepresented among registered nurses. Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Health

  • US Department of the Interior (DOI), Office of the Secretary: New rule. Procedures for Reestablishing a Formal Government-to-Government Relationship with the Native Hawaiian Community. This final rule sets forth an administrative procedure and criteria that the DOI Secretary would use if the Native Hawaiian community forms a unified government that then seeks a formal government-to-government relationship with the United States.
