Office of Minority Health (OMH) FY 2015 Funding Opportunity Announcements

OMH at the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) administers grant programs to support projects that implement innovative models to improve minority health and reduce health disparities. OMH currently has two funding opportunity announcements (FOAs) for which applications are being accepted: 

  • HHS/Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (OASH), OMH: Partnerships to Increase Coverage in Communities (PICC) II Initiative Grant. Deadline is May 22, 2015. Learn more.
  • HHS/OASH, OMH: State Partnership Initiative to Address Health Disparities Grant. Deadline is May 24, 2015. Learn more.

Federal Grants

  • HHS/Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Planning, Research and Evaluation (OPRE): Secondary Analyses of Data on Early Care and Education Grant. Deadline for letters of intent is June 1, 2015. Learn more
  • HHS/Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Consumer Information & Insurance Oversight: Cooperative Agreement to Support Navigators in Federally-facilitated and State Partnership Marketplaces. Deadline for letters of intent is June 3, 2015. Learn more
  • HHS/National Institutes of Health (NIH): Understanding and Promoting Health Literacy (R01) Grant. Deadline is June 5, 2015. Learn more.
  • HHS/ACF, OPRE: Early Head Start University Partnerships: Building the Evidence Base for Infant/Toddler Center-based Programs. Deadline for letters of intent is June 5, 2015. Learn more.
  • US Department of Education/Office of Postsecondary Education (OPE): First in The World (FITW) Program Grant. Provides grants to institutions of higher education to spur the development of innovations that improve educational outcomes and make college more affordable for students and families. Deadline is June 30, 2015.   • HHS/NIH, National Library of Medicine (NLM): HIV/AIDS Community Information Outreach Project 2015. This is a solicitation of quotations from organizations and libraries to design and conduct projects for improving HIV/AIDS information access for patients, affected community, caregivers, and the general public.   • HHS/NIH, National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD): Building Population Health Research Capacity in the U.S. Affiliated Pacific Islands (U24) Grant. Deadline for letters of intent is November 9, 2015. Learn more

  • Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF): Healthy Eating Research - Round 9 Grants. Supports research on environmental and policy strategies with strong potential to promote healthy eating among children to prevent childhood obesity. Deadline is June 24, 2015. Learn more.

  • HHS/NIH, National Cancer Institute (NCI): Updated website. Cancer.gov. NCI has launched a new, dynamic, and easier-to-use version of its central website and its counterpart in Spanish. The new sites provides trusted, evidence-based cancer information, and conveys NCI’s role as the federal government's principal agency for cancer research and training. EnglishEspañol.
