Do you want to cut back on drinking alcohol? April is Alcohol Awareness Month, and the perfect time to learn how to moderate (limit) your drinking — or stop drinking altogether. |

This means no more than 1 drink a day for women and 2 drinks a day for men. Here are some strategies that can help you cut back or stop drinking. |

|
Set a drinking limit — for example, choose to have no more than 3 drinks per week. |
|||||||
|
Take at least 1 day off from drinking each week. |
|||||||
|
Don’t drink when you are upset. |
|||||||
|
Avoid places where people drink a lot, like bars. |
|||||||
|
Don’t keep a lot of alcohol at home. |
|||||||
|
Make a list of reasons to drink less or quit — and keep it with you. |
