The interactive tools on the NCSES website allow you to create and export custom tables and charts using NCSES survey data.
Recently released updates improve the user experience by incorporating:

The data tools now include data from NCSES's Survey of State Government Research and Development.
With the addition of the Survey of State Government R&D, the tools now feature data data from 11 surveys:
