Changes in proposal policies take effect January 30
Researchers preparing proposals should note that updates to the NSF Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide (PAPPG) take effect on January 30, 2023.
Researchers submitting proposals on or after January 30 must follow PAPPG 23-1 and use updated versions of the biographical sketch and current and pending support forms.

Due to the policy changes outlined above, several programs have adjusted their deadlines or submission windows to allow more time for PIs to prepare their proposals and use the new forms. The updated due dates are as follows:
Developmental Sciences: February 6, 2023, deadline
Science and Technology Studies: February 9, 2023, deadline
Human Networks and Data Science – Infrastructure: February 9, 2023, deadline
Perception, Action & Cognition: January 15 - February 15, 2023, submission window

SBE supports early-career scientists with 25 new postdoctoral fellowship awards
The U.S. National Science Foundation’s Directorate for Social, Behavioral and Economic Sciences has awarded postdoctoral fellowships to 25 early-career researchers. The fellowships will support research on a range of subjects including the development of adolescent risk-taking behavior, factors that contribute to successful forest restoration, the archaeology of the antebellum south and language processing in people who speak multiple dialects.
