The Department of Defense Management (DDM) at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) is looking to hire one full-time faculty member specializing in program management.
- Lecturer, Senior Lecturer or Professor of the Practice usually teaches four quarters per year.
- Duty location of Monterey CA.
DDM faculty work in a collegial environment teaching mid-career military professionals with a wealth of operational experience and aptitude to be the next generation of defense leaders.
- Class content, discussions, and research projects are intellectually stimulating and have a direct impact on the nation’s military readiness.

The Department of Defense Management (DDM) leads efforts to innovate how the Department of Defense designs, develops, and delivers capabilities to the field.
- DDM offers Master of Science degrees in contract management, financial management, logistics management, manpower systems analysis, and program management.
The ideal candidate will meet these minimum qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to teach principles of defense acquisition, program management and related courses at a graduate level
- Graduate degree in management, engineering, science, business administration, public administration, public policy, or a related field
- Defense acquisition program management experience and expertise
- DAWIA Back-to-Basics Practitioner Level certification in Program Management functional area (or DAWIA Level III certification in Program Management)
