19th Annual Acquisition Research Symposium May 11-12, 2022
 NPS colleagues,
Our symposium is just two weeks away, and we don't want you to miss this opportunity to hear the latest research from NPS faculty and students, as well as other researchers. You can also tune in for updates from policymakers and operational leaders on acquisition reform and capability priorities in today's complex geopolitical environment. We especially encourage students to attend--there's plenty to learn!
Our event kicks off with a keynote address from Mr. Andrew Hunter, Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics. He was previously acting as the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment, so he has recent insights on acquisition efforts across DoD.
The symposium offers 26 virtual panels over two days. The NPS research community has a strong showing: we have 12 papers from NPS faculty and 18 projects/theses being briefed by NPS students.
-
Other research organizations participating include the U.S. Government Accountability Office, Stevens Institute of Technology, Carnegie Mellon University, RAND Corporation, George Mason University, MITRE Corporation, and the Institute for Defense Analysis.
- Participants from the Naval Research and Development Establishment (NRDE) include the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, and Naval Air Systems Command.

Unique to our virtual symposium, we also have four coffee breaks -- 30-minute sessions where you can chat with presenters and other attendees. Everyone in the coffee break room will have video and audio turned on for real-time conversations.
There's plenty of goodness to choose from! Join us for a short session or stay a while.
See you soon!
