Learn more about the new North American-Pacific Geopotential Datum of 2022

NGS has made a number of updates to our NAPGD2022 Products, including GEOID2022, which are available on the NGS alpha site. There are a number of additions to the site including the use of the Geodetic data Grid eXchange Format (GGXF), a new Open Geospatial Consortium Standard. All models are provided in this format along with legacy formats previously used by NGS.

Additional updates to these products include:

  • Improved GEOID2022 model: a combined model with contributions from NGS and partner agencies from Canada and Mexico
  • Initial releases of deflection of the vertical and gravity models, DEFLEC2022 and GRAV2022
  • A new user experience to visualize these models and changes from previous NGS models
  • A computation tool to aid in the testing and evaluation of the models

To learn more, join our upcoming webinar Updates to Products and Models within the North American-Pacific Geopotential Datum of 2022 on January 9, 2025 from 2:00-3:00 pm, ET.
