Engineers Week is February 21–27

Gears final from Julian

Engineers Week, founded in 1951 by the National Society of Professional Engineers, promotes developing a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce. During Engineers Week, many organizations celebrate engineers’ impacts on the world and emphasize the importance of learning math, science, and technical skills.

The National Geodetic Survey (NGS) provides the positioning framework for numerous engineering, scientific, and construction projects — including roads, dams, airports and ports, and more. This framework — the National Spatial Reference System — supports engineers and underpins these various engineering projects.
