ASP economic benefits

The NGS Aeronautical Survey Program (ASP) provides airport geodetic control, runway, navigational aid, obstruction, and other aeronautical data critical to operating the National Airspace System. NGS conducts the ASP via partnership agreements with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

A new study estimates the ASP provides between $3 billion and $13.2 billion to the U.S. economy over the next decade. The full value of ASP contributions to the 2019 U.S. economy was estimated to be between $229.5 million and $1.02 billion.
