Frequently Asked Questions

How can I check if I am already registered?

Before registering, make sure you have not already received a "registration confirmation" email from orders@eventbrite.com. Thank you to everyone who has already registered!

Will certificates of attendance be provided?

Similar to our webinar series, certificates will be provided via email to those who attend the entirety of the in-person event or webinar broadcast.

Are there materials to review in advance of the meeting?

We recommend reviewing key publications and webinars related to NSRS Modernization, see below. Additional materials may be sent to registrants in the weeks leading up to the Summit and posted to the NGS Website.

Event Overview

NGS plans to replace the North American Datum of 1983 (NAD 83) and the North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD 88) in 2022 as part of modernizing the National Spatial Reference System (NSRS).

Attend the 2019 Geospatial Summit to:

  • learn about NGS’ progress in modernizing the NSRS;
  • hear how NGS has been engaging NSRS users across sectors;
  • ask questions of NGS experts; and
  • share your feedback about the planned changes.
