Inseason Adjustments to the Pacific Coast Groundfish Commercial Fisheries for 2025-26
NOAA Fisheries announces a final rule (91 FR 61344) implementing a correction to routine inseason adjustments to management measures in commercial groundfish fisheries published on August 20, 2026 (91 FR 53737). This action revises regulations to include adjusted limited entry and open access sablefish trip limits between 40°10′ North latitude (N lat.) and 36° N lat.
This action is intended to allow commercial fishing vessels to access more abundant groundfish stocks while protecting overfished and depleted stocks.
