NOAA Fisheries Initiation of Government-to-Government and Government-to-Corporation Tribal Consultation for Action Items at the June 2025 North Pacific Fishery Management Council Meeting
Dear Tribal Leaders and Tribal Representatives,
The NOAA Fisheries Alaska Regional Office, Sustainable Fisheries Division, would like to invite you to consult with us prior to the June 2025 North Pacific Fisheries Management Council meeting. The specific topics on the Council agenda may change at any time. In addition to other items, the following topics may be of interest and are planned to be discussed for possible Council action:
- Pelagic trawl gear definition - initial/final action
- Pelagic trawl gear innovation - discussion paper
- Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands pot cod limited access privilege program - discussion paper
- Climate workplan including next steps for Climate, Ecosystem, and Fisheries Initiative (CEFI) and Council Updates
