Mandatory Electronic Vessel Trip Reporting for American Lobster Starts April 1, 2024.
NOAA Fisheries is implementing mandatory electronic harvester reporting requirements for all Federal lobster permit holders. Beginning on April 1, 2024, eVTR’s must be submitted within 48 hours following the completion of a trip.
The NOAA Fisheries Greater Atlantic Regional Fisheries Office Fish Online (FOL) Web Application is available for lobster reporting. Vessel operators can start using the Fish Online Web App by accessing it through their Fish Online account by selecting “Submit a Vessel Trip Report.” From there, vessel operators can install it on their device or for iOS users, can “Add to Home Screen.” Click here for step by step instructions and a video tutorial on how to use the app.
Vessel operators who are currently using the Fish Online iOS App may continue using it until April 1. However, starting April 1, all vessel operators in the lobster fishery will need to transition to the Fish Online Web App or one of the other apps approved for use in the lobster fishery.
