Apply by January 20: The Global Seaweed Coalition—hosted by the UN Global Compact—has announced their annual Call for Proposals. Funding will support many activities, including educational programs, training events, and task forces, to support the seaweed industry.

Open until filled: The Lever laboratory at The University of Texas at Austin is accepting applications for a Research Assistant to help with studies of seaweed farming in Texas.

Open until filled (review begins Nov 27): Dr. Ganesh Karunakaran at Mississippi State University is recruiting for 2 post-doctoral positions focused on Aquaculture Production and Market Research. Work will be conducted at the Cochran National Warmwater Aquaculture Center.

- University of Maine Cooperative Extension has received a $750,000 grant from the National Institutes of Food and Agriculture to support the development and implementation of virtual reality and other innovative learning tools focused on aquaculture technology.
- In September 2023 the East Coast Shellfish Grower’s Association updated its 2010 Best Management Practices manual and renamed it, "Best Practices for the East Coast Shellfish Aquaculture Industry." Visit their web page to learn more and create your own farm-specific Best Practices document with their Form.

U.S. aquaculture provides safe, sustainable seafood and creates jobs and business opportunities in coastal communities. Through a collaboration between NOAA Fisheries, the National Sea Grant Office, and NOAA's Office of Education, the Community of Practice for Aquaculture Literacy (CoPAL) works to enhance public understanding of sustainable aquaculture and seafood. CoPAL hosts events, shares resources, and coordinates partnerships across education, aquaculture industry, and research communities.
