New Mackerel and Tuna Identification Guide Now Available
With help from the Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council, we developed a guide to help captains and recreational anglers identify some of the mackerel and small tuna species caught within the region. These species look very similar and can be easily misidentified. This guide includes key characteristics that will help captains and anglers distinguish between these species when filling out vessel trip reports (logbooks) or completing recreational angler surveys. This guide is available online and on the FishRules app.
