NOAA Fisheries Announces Proposed Measures to Modify Atlantic Mackerel In-Season Closure Provisions

Today, NOAA Fisheries published the proposed rule for Framework Adjustment 12 to the Atlantic Mackerel, Squid, and Butterfish, Fishery Management Plan.This action proposes to allow a small incidental catch (5,000 lb) of Atlantic mackerel to continue after 100 percent of the domestic annual harvest is caught instead of prohibiting the possession of Atlantic mackerel for the rest of the year.

Comments on this rule must be received by 10/19/2018.
