Reminder: Public Comment Period Open on Elmer’s Island Access Project Modification

Louisiana Trustees will be holding a public meeting on the proposal tomorrow, May 22, in New Orleans.

In response to public comment on the December 2017 Draft Recreational Use Plan, the Louisiana Trustee Implementation Group released the Draft Supplemental Restoration Plan and Environmental Assessment for the Elmer’s Island Access Project Modification on May 11 to propose changes to the project and assess environmental impacts from those changes.

We’re encouraging the public to provide comment on the Elmer’s Island Project Modification starting today, May 21, until June 20, 2018; and attend our public meeting tomorrow, May 22.

The public meeting will be held in New Orleans at the Tulane River and Coastal Center. Prior to the meeting, we’ll have an open house so you can connect with Trustees’ staff and other stakeholders.
