Note the due date for applications is Tuesday, 04 March, so if you are interested, do not wait. Seminar XXI represents a unique opportunity for future policy leaders to share perspectives, while cultivating their understanding of the intricate relationships among economy, society, and culture in the international environment. Seminar XXI Fellows develop broad perspectives and analytical skills that enable them to evaluate and formulate national policy. Seminar XXI is an educational development program for current and future leaders in the U.S. national security and foreign policy communities. Administered by MIT's Center for International Studies, the program is intended for professionals with significant potential to move into key decision-making roles in the next 5-10 years.
Senior Navy judge advocates (CDR/CAPT) and OJAG civilians (GS-14/15) within 225 miles of the National Capital Region with a potential for future assignment to billets pertaining to national security law are encouraged to apply as a fellow for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Seminar XXI - Foreign Policy, International Relations, and the National Interest.
The Seminar XXI Academic Year 2025/26 Program will consist of nine evening and weekend sessions held SEPT through MAY. Sessions will include one (1) introductory session; three (3) weekend sessions in Warrenton, VA; and five (5) weeknight sessions in Washington, D.C. during off-duty hours and at no cost to military participants or their command.
U.S. Pacific Fleet (PACFLT) and Special Operations Command Pacific (SOCPAC) are seeking nominations for thirteen (13) judge advocates to participate in Pacific Sentry 2025.
Pacific Sentry 2025 (PS25-2) is a biennial joint and combined command post exercise for U.S. forces under U.S. Indo-Pacific Command.
Who: Thirteen (13) judge advocates:
- PACFLT: Three (3) augments with TS/SCI; nine (9) augments with Secret clearance. A broad range of experience among augments is desired, from no previous operational/exercise experience to a strong operational law background.
- SOCPAC: One (1) O-3/O-4 augment, TS/SCI strongly preferred.
What: Augments will integrate into the staff to support the Joint/Maritime Operations Center and various planning teams and cross-functional cells. Duties will range from watch-standing to working group advisor.
When: 1-10 Jun 25
Where: Pearl Harbor, HI
Other: PACFLT and SOCPAC will fund their respective augments.
