Journey to the NIST CSF 2.0: Workshop Summary Analysis & Recording NOW AVAILABLE

Cybersecurity Framework

On August 17, 2022, NIST hosted its first public workshop on the future update to the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF 2.0). It was a success with close to 4,000 virtual attendees joining from 100 different countries. Dr. Laurie Locascio (the Under Secretary of Commerce for Standards and Technology and NIST’s Director) and Director Chris Inglis (the National Cyber Director for the Executive Office of the President) kicked off the daylong event by providing opening remarks and sharing their support for the CSF 2.0 update process. Learn more and view the newly released recording HERE.

This event represented one of the ways that NIST has sought input from stakeholders about the current use of the Framework—as well as how the CSF can evolve to meet today’s cybersecurity challenges. NIST has since put together a new summary analysis document that provides a short recap of the full workshop, including: panel discussion points, summary analysis themes, important reference links, key takeaways, and information about our next steps.

We thank you for your support and look forward to working with you in the future as we continue along on our ‘journey’ to the CSF 2.0.
