Differential Privacy for Privacy-Preserving Data Analysis: An Introduction to our Blog Series

Differential Privacy Blog header

Dear colleagues,

We’ve just released our first post in a new differential privacy blog series. The series leverages the differential privacy contributions in the de-identification tools section of our Privacy Engineering Collaboration Space. This series is intended to help business process owners and privacy program personnel understand basic concepts about differential privacy and applicable use cases and to help privacy engineers and IT professionals implement the tools. Our longer-term goal is to transform this series into more in-depth guidance on differential privacy. We encourage readers to ask questions and share knowledge using the contribute section to better inform the development of this guidance. We also can be contacted at collabspace@nist.gov.

Differential Privacy for Privacy-preserving Data Analysis: An Introduction to our Blog Series by Joseph Near, David Darais, and Katie Boeckl.  Read the post.

Stay tuned: the next post will explore the security issues involved in deploying systems for differential privacy.

All the best,

NIST Privacy Engineering Program
