World Mental Health Day (Oct. 10)

This year's World Mental Health Day focus is on suicide prevention, which is one of NIMH's highest priorities. Reducing the Incidence of Suicide in Indigenous Groups – Strengths United through Networks (RISING SUN) is a joint effort of the NIMH, in collaboration with other federal and international partners, to generate shared knowledge that will aid the implementation of effective suicide prevention strategies in Indigenous communities.
