ORWH Funding Friday December 27, 2024
Welcome to ORWH’s “Funding Friday,” a bimonthly email featuring notices of funding opportunities (NOFOs) and research that ORWH is directly supporting or otherwise providing funding for. You’ll find NOFOs and notices from other NIH Institutes, Centers, and Offices (ICOs), as well as other agencies across the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). All notices featured relate to the health of women, women in biomedical careers, and/or the study of sex and gender. Please take extra care when reviewing the submission criteria and deadlines for each NOFO as many announcements have multiple deadlines.
Notice of Special Interest (NOSI): Women’s Health Research (NOT-OD-24-079) Submission dates vary by awarding NIH Institute or Center Contacts In alignment with the White House Initiative on Women’s Health Research, ORWH has released a new NOSI to highlight interest in receiving research applications focused on diseases and health conditions that predominantly affect women (e.g., autoimmune diseases; depressive disorders, Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and Alzheimer’s disease-related dementias (ADRD), gender-based-violence), present and progress differently in women (e.g., cardiovascular disease; HIV; reproductive aging and its implications), or are female-specific (e.g., uterine fibroids; endometriosis; menopause). The NOSI will serve as a dedicated, one-stop shop that centralizes all existing funding opportunities across each of NIH’s 27 institutes that align with women's health research interests.
