Cervical Cancer Patient Engagement Toolkit Now Available
ORWH is a partner of the Federal Cervical Cancer Collaborative (FCCC) led by the Health Resources and Services Administration. FCCC has recently released Improving Patient Engagement in Cervical Cancer Prevention: Communication Toolkit to Build Provider Capacity, which aims to support people who work at health centers and in safety-net settings.

Under the leadership of Xenia Tigno, Ph.D., Associate Director for Careers, ORWH has launched a variety of funding opportunities that seek to address the points in a scientist’s career that Dr. Tigno refers to as “precipices where women usually fall off.”
New Issue of In Focus Explores Technology and Innovation in Women's Health Research
NIH’s major investments over the past decades have spurred advancements for in vitro bioengineering tools that enable the use of human cells and tissues for preclinical testing. These advances have the potential to expedite the development, testing, and clinical use of novel therapeutics. In Focus 7.4 describes how the tools' advancements are accelerating research on several conditions that solely or predominantly affect women.
The awards of $3,000 each will help defray the cost of attending the Organization for the Study of Sex Differences Annual Meeting taking place June 1–5, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
