The Prize Competition for Enhancing Faculty Gender Diversity: Toolkit is Now Live
In October 2021, ORWH hosted a forum titled “Effective Approaches to Fostering Faculty Gender Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Celebrating Progress” where winners of the NIH Prize for Enhancing Faculty Gender Diversity in Biomedical and Behavioral Science presented their achievements to sustain improvements in gender diversity within their academic institutions and communities. As a result, ORWH created the Prize Competition for Enhancing Faculty Gender Diversity: Toolkit to highlight the winners’ successful strategies and best practices so that their evidence-based approaches may be replicated and translated across additional biomedical and behavioral science departments, centers, and divisions.

8th Annual Vivian W. Pinn Symposium
Join ORWH for the 8th Vivian W. Pinn Symposium, held annually during National Women’s Health Week. The symposium honors the office’s first full-time Director, Vivian W. Pinn, M.D., Senior Scientist Emerita at NIH’s Fogarty International Center. This year’s event is titled “Synergy in Science: Innovations in Autoimmune Disease Research and Care” and will focus on a convergence of cutting-edge insights and collaborative efforts related to autoimmune diseases.

Pathways to Prevention (P2P)’s Postpartum Health Initiative
The Pathways to Prevention (P2P) workshop Identifying Risks and Interventions to Optimize Postpartum Health aims to address the maternal health crisis by identifying and closing research gaps in postpartum health. Two new reports from the workshop are now available! They describe current research activities and outline resources and opportunities for advancing research to predict and prevent poor postpartum health outcomes.
