The Small Business Administration's Small Business Innovation Research and Technology Transfer Office in the Office of Investment and Innovation is hiring an SBIR/STTR Commercialization Program Manager to focus on increasing the transition and commercialization of SBIR/STTR-funded activities through both Federal Phase III activities and private sector follow-on investment.

Recent Phase I NIH SBIR or STTR awardees (grant, contract, or Fast-Track) may request a free Technical and Business Assistance (TABA) Needs Assessment Report provided by RTI Innovation Advisors that provides an assessment of your project’s progress in four technical and business areas:
- Market Needs/Competitive Advantage
- Intellectual Property/Barriers to Entry
- Business Model Profitability
- Manufacturing, Regulatory, and/or Clinical Plan
The Needs Assessment Report helps companies strategize for their project’s next steps. There is no cost for this report and the time commitment for participation is minimal.

The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute's (NHLBI) Catalyze Program initiatives support product development, including product definition small molecules, biologics, devices, diagnostics and enabling technologies and transformative platforms through five grant funding. Catalyze preclinical services support preclinical development activities from end-stage proof-of-concept, through preclinical development and US regulatory submissions.
Preclinical services are tailored to the development needs of each product. Applicants can request specific services required to advance their technology to the clinic or regulatory submission.
Interested applicants must submit an expression of interest (EOI) form online. EOI forms will be reviewed, and selected applicants are invited to submit a full application no later than Friday, March 17.
