The NIH I-Corps™ program provides participants with hands-on training from experienced industry professionals to help transition from researcher to entrepreneur on a path towards commercialization. Past participants have used lessons learned at I-Corps at NIH to write strong Phase II applications, win partnerships and investments, and build a wide network in the field.

NIA AITC Program Pilot Awards Opportunity

The a2 Collective is soliciting a2 Pilot Awards applications from the National Institute on Aging (NIA) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) awardees, universities, and businesses who want to leverage artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technology approaches to improve the care and health outcomes for older Americans, including those with dementia. Pilot project applications may request up to $200,000 in non-dilutive direct costs.

NHLBI Phase IIB SBIR RFAs Accepting Applications

The NHLBI Phase IIB Bridge Award (RFA-HL-23-009) and the NHLBI Phase IIB Small Market Award (RFA-HL-23-008) Programs can provide up to $3 Million over 3 years to continue the commercialization of novel products in the NHLBI mission space, specifically towards the completion of milestones necessary to achieve regulatory approval. This work must represent extension of work completed under an SBIR Phase II award. 

Interested applicants are encouraged to contact Dr. Stephanie Davis at nhlbi_sbir@mail.nih.gov prior to submitting their applications.

NHLBI Now Participating in Administrative Supplement for providing TABA

All NHLBI grantees with an active Phase I (R41/R43) small business award or a Fast-Track (R42/R44) award in the Phase I stage are now eligible to request up to $6,500 to support subcontracts or consultants that provide TABA services. Find all participating institutes in NOT-OD-21-062.

Innovations for Healthy Living - Improving Minority Health and Eliminating Health Disparities

Small businesses are encouraged to develop technologies and products that engage, empower, and motivate individuals, and communities, including providers and healthcare institutions, in sustainable health promoting activities and interventions that lead to improved health, healthcare delivery, and the elimination of health disparities in one or more NIH-defined population groups who experience health disparities including racial and ethnic minorities.
