The NIH Guide recently published the following funding opportunity announcements (FOAs) with NINR participation.

  • NOT-NR-22-004: Notice of Intent to Publish a Funding Opportunity Announcement for Evaluating the Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic-related Food and Housing Policies and Programs on Health Outcomes in Health Disparity Populations (R01 Clinical Trial Optional). Estimated Publication Date: January 4, 2022
  • NOT-OD-22-030: Notice of Special Interest (NOSI): Administrative Supplements for Research on Sex and/or Gender Influences (Admin Supp Clinical Trial Optional) announces the availability of administrative supplements to support research highlighting the impact of sex and/or gender influences in human health and illness. First Application Due Date: January 26, 2022
  • NOT-OD-22-031: NOSI: Research on the Health of Women of Understudied, Underrepresented and Underreported (U3) Populations (Admin Supp Clinical Trial Optional) announces the availability of administrative supplements to support research highlighting health inequities among women in the US who are underrepresented, understudied, and underreported (U3) in biomedical research. First Application Due Date: January 31, 2022
  • NOT-OD-22-032: NOSI: Administrative Supplements for Research on Sexual and Gender Minority (SGM) Populations (Admin Supp Clinical Trial Optional) calls for research that will enrich scientific understanding of how sexual orientation, gender identity, and/or being born with differences/disorders in sex development (DSDs) or intersex characteristics relate to health outcomes, health risks, health behaviors, perceptions and expectations about health, and access to health-related services or associated barriers. First Application Due Date: January 31, 2022
  • NOT-OD-22-038: NOSI: Availability of Administrative Supplements for Research on Pathobiological Mechanisms of Post-Acute Sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 Infection encourages investigators with expertise and insights germane to post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection (PASC) pathobiology to apply for supplemental funding to rapidly advance understanding of the pathobiological underpinnings of PASC. Application Due Date: January 24, 2022
  • PAR-21-080: Addressing the Etiology of Health Disparities and Health Advantages Among Immigrant Populations (R01 Clinical trial not allowed) seeks to support innovative research to understand factors uniquely associated with the immigration experience that contribute to health disparities or health advantages among U.S. immigrant populations. Next Application Due Date: February 05, 2022
  • PAR-21-081: Addressing Health Disparities among Immigrant Populations through Effective Interventions (R01 Clinical Trial Optional) seeks to support research to design and implement effective interventions to enhance health advantages and reduce the health disparities among US immigrant populations. Next Application Due Date: February 05, 2022
  • PAR-21-287: Effectiveness of School-Based Health Centers to Advance Health Equity (R01 Clinical Trial Optional) seeks to support research that investigates the effectiveness of school-based health centers (SBHCs) as a health services care delivery model to address the needs of school-aged children from populations with health disparities. First Application Due Date: February 05, 2022
  • PAR-21-358: Risk and Protective Factors of Family Health and Family Level Interventions (R01 - Clinical Trial Optional) will support family level health observational and intervention studies in the biomedical, clinical, population, behavioral or social sciences. First Application Due Date: June 05, 2022
  • PAR-22-073: Innovation Corps (I-Corps™) at NIH Program for NIH and CDC Translational Research (Admin Supp Clinical Trial NOT Allowed) seeks to accelerate the development and commercialization of new technologies, products, and services that arise from projects supported by currently funded SBIR and STTR Phase I grants. Next Application Due Date: February 02, 2022

Continuing Funding Opportunities

  • PAR-21-349, PAR-21-350, PAR-21-352Research on Biopsychosocial Factors of Social Connectedness and Isolation on Health, Wellbeing, Illness, and Recovery invite research projects that seek to explain the underlying mechanisms, processes, and trajectories of social relationships and how these factors affect outcomes in human health, illness, recovery, and overall wellbeing. First Application Due Date: June 21, 2022
  • PA-21-049: Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) Individual Fellowship for Students at Institutions with NIH-Funded Institutional Predoctoral Dual-Degree Training Programs (Parent F30) enhances the integrated research and clinical training of promising predoctoral students, who are matriculated in a combined MD/PhD or other dual-doctoral degree training program, and who intend careers as physician/clinician-scientists.
