New Funding Opportunities
The NIH Guide recently published the following funding opportunity announcements (FOAs) with NINR participation.

PA-21-049: Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) Individual Fellowship for Students at Institutions with NIH-Funded Institutional Predoctoral Dual-Degree Training Programs (Parent F30) enhances the integrated research and clinical training of promising predoctoral students, who are matriculated in a combined MD/PhD or other dual-doctoral degree training program, and who intend careers as physician/clinician-scientists. NOT-OD-21-177: Ruth L. Kirschstein NRSA Institutional Research Training Awards. NIH will provide $2,500 childcare cost support to full-time predoctoral and postdoctoral trainees appointed on NRSA institutional research training awards, including the T32, effective FY 2022. PA-21-071: Research Supplements to Promote Diversity in Health-Related Research provides funds for supporting students, postdoctorates, and eligible investigators from diverse backgrounds to enhance the diversity of the research workforce. Expiration Date: May 8, 2023

NOT-OD-21-134: NOSI - Research Supplements to Promote Re-Entry and Re-integration into Health-Related Research Careers (Admin Supp - Clinical Trial Not Allowed) provide support for a mentored research training experience for individuals with high potential to re-enter or re-integrate into an active research career, after an interruption for family responsibilities or other qualifying circumstances described below. Expiration Date: October 7, 2023
- The Maximizing Opportunities for Scientific and Academic Independent Careers (MOSAIC) program is part of NIH’s efforts to enhance diversity within the academic biomedical research workforce. The Postdoctoral Career Transition Award to Promote Diversity (K99/R00) FOAs have just been reissued (see PAR-21-271, PAR-21-272, and PAR-21-273). Next Deadline: October 27, 2021
