NIH Medical Research Scholars Program

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Medical Research Scholars Program (MRSP) is a comprehensive, year-long research enrichment program designed to attract the most creative, research-oriented medical, dental, and veterinary students to the NIH intramural campus in Bethesda, Maryland. Student scholars engage in a closely mentored research project that matches their research interests and career goals.

The application cycle for the 2019–2020 program will be October 1, 2018 to January 11, 2019. The National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities is proud to participate with other NIH Institutes and Centers in the MRSP. Our goal is to introduce the MRSP to students from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds and encourage them to consider biomedical research as a career.
