Welcome to National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week® 2025
Today kicks off National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week® (NDAFW)!
Throughout the years, with your help, the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) have shared resources and supported conversations on the science of drug and alcohol use and addiction. NDAFW participants have promoted youth skill-building and encouraged youth to share their personal motivations for making healthy choices for their mind and body.
If you’re still working on plans for NDAFW, here are some easy ways to get involved:
Host a Naloxone Demonstration
NIDA’s Guide to Hosting a Naloxone Demonstration is for educators, parents, prevention specialists, and community organizers working with youth in the substance use prevention and education space who want to learn more about overdoses and how to respond to them with the administration of naloxone.
Play Kahoot! Quizzes
Find research-informed, interactive quizzes that can help students learn more about drug use, addiction, underage drinking, and coping with stress, all while testing their knowledge on these topics.
