 NIH CEAL launched a YouTube channel to share promising practices for community-engaged research and to amplify on-the-ground work of NIH CEAL teams. On the channel you'll find features like the Community Engagement Alliance Consultative Resource Speaker Series playlist, which includes webinars promoting inclusive participation in research.

NIH CEAL’s community impact
CEAL continues to make a big impact. Since its launch two and a half years ago, CEAL teams have collaborated with nearly 1,000 organizations and held more than 3,000 local events reaching more than 600,000 participants. CEAL teams vaccinated more than 300,000 people for COVID-19, distributed more than one million copies of educational materials, and recruited more than 2,600 people to sign up for COVID-19-related clinical trials.

More than 50 NIH Researching COVID to Enhance Recovery (RECOVER) representatives serve as a voice for the people affected by Long COVID. These representatives make sure RECOVER studies are inclusive and help improve the experience for study participants.

Resource to uplift community-generated knowledge
The RADx-UP Engagement Resource Center (ERC) developed a guide that sees community scholarship as equally important as research produced in academic settings. Hailey Leiva, ERC project coordinator, says the expertise of community members and organizations “should really be at the center of what we do.”
