The annual round of nominations for the Early Career Scientist Opportunity is now open! 

The NCI Division of Cancer Prevention Early Career Scientist Opportunity highlights early career scientists who are advancing research within the areas supported by DCP, including:

  • Cancer Early Detection Biomarker Development and Screening
  • Intervention Development for Cancer Prevention
  • Precision Cancer Prevention
  • Symptom Science and Management
Early Career Spotlight Opportunity: Nominations due July 31, 2025

Selected nominees are invited to present their research in the Early Career Scientist Spotlight Seminar Series and will have the opportunity to meet with staff involved in cancer prevention research across DCP and NCI.

This opportunity aims to support selected early career scientists in expanding their professional networks and fostering collaboration in their fields of interest.

Candidates must be nominated by someone with current NIH funding and have a connection to DCP-related research areas. Eligible candidates can self-nominate.
