Immunotherapy Improves How Long Some People with Advanced Esophageal Cancer Live
an x-ray of the esophagus and upper GI tract following a barium swallow test   Results from a large clinical trial suggest that some people with advanced esophageal cancer live longer when treated with immunotherapy-based combination therapy. Combining nivolumab (Opdivo) with either another immunotherapy drug or chemotherapy was more effective than the current standard of chemotherapy alone.
