The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking applications for the position of director of the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH). Applicants must have a relevant doctoral degree, senior-level research and administrative experience, broad familiarity with complementary and integrative health, knowledge of Federal research programs, and demonstrated leadership in collaborating with stakeholder groups, including the research community, patient advocacy organizations, Federal agencies, legislators, and the public.

The NCCIH director provides leadership, vision, and direction to the Center and advises NIH leadership on the development of policy on issues related to complementary and integrative health. The director also plays a leading role in NIH-wide initiatives, including the whole person health research initiative, the CARE for Health™ initiative on embedding clinical research in primary care, the Helping to End Addiction Long-term Initiative® or NIH HEAL Initiative®, the NIH Common Fund’s Bridge to Artificial Intelligence (Bridge2AI) program, and the All of Us Research Program.
