Please join us on Thursday, June 23 at noon ET for the virtual lecture “Advancing Research on Emotional Well-Being and Regulation of Eating,” by Dr. Elissa Epel, professor and vice chair of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco.

Dr. Epel will discuss her work as the leader of a new research network focused on emotional well-being: its links to physical health, interventions that could best increase it, and the process that explains how it impacts health. She will also discuss how stress and compulsive eating are interrelated, a longtime research focus for her.

The lecture will be streamed live on NIH VideoCast and Facebook, and registration is not required. Dr. Epel’s lecture is part of the spring 2022 season of our Integrative Medicine Research Lecture Series, which provides overviews of the current state of research and practice involving complementary health approaches and explores perspectives on integrative health.
