More than 7 percent of adults and about 9 percent of children in the
U.S. have seasonal allergies, also called allergic rhinitis or
hay fever. Many complementary health approaches
have been studied for allergic rhinitis. This issue of the Clinical Digest provides information on what the science
says about several complementary health approaches for seasonal
allergies, such as saline nasal irrigation, butterbur, honey,
probiotics, and acupuncture.
