This recent blog post by Dr. Eve Reider provides information on the growing interest in the use of mindfulness approaches
for the prevention and treatment of psychological and physical health
conditions in youth. In recent years, mindfulness approaches are being
used with youth in different settings, such as schools and families. For
example, mindfulness approaches have been implemented in schools with
the goal of improving cognitive performance and resilience to stress in
youth and and reducing stress and improving performance in teachers. Read more.

From May 17-20, 2016, many NCCIH staff will participate in the International Congress Integrative Medicine & Health in Las Vegas, NV. A series of blog posts related to this
conference have been posted on the NCCIH Research Blog, and a few more will be
posted soon! We will be presenting sessions, and we'll be available at the exhibit
booth to answer questions.
Some people with hepatitis C try complementary health approaches,
especially dietary supplements. Several herbal supplements have been
studied for hepatitis C; however, no dietary supplement has yet been
shown to be effective for hepatitis C or its complications. Read more.
