Healthy volunteers play a vital role in advancing Nipah research!
Researchers at the Vaccine Research Center (VRC) within the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) in Bethesda, Maryland, seek healthy volunteers 18 to 60 years old to join a research study testing an investigational vaccine targeting the Nipah virus. Study participation does not expose participants to the Nipah virus, so there is no risk of infection from participation.
You may qualify if you are:
- 18 to 60 years old
- Willing to have blood samples stored for future research
- Not pregnant or breastfeeding
During the study, you will:
- Receive the vaccine two times
- Have approximately 13 to 15 outpatient visits over a period of 13 to 15 months
- Receive financial compensation for participation
