Joint Task Force-Bravo Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras Primary Assignment-Installation SARC Resident Dietitian

"Nutrition is my passion. I can’t be in any location for an extended time without wondering how I can make a difference in the health and wellness of people through nutrition education and promotion." |

The G4G team is honored to have MAJ Jessica McAllister in our G4G CHAMPion spotlight! She was commissioned as a 65C/Army Reserve Dietitian in 2004. As a registered dietitian (RD) for over 18 years, MAJ McAllister has been influential in the lives of many individuals and groups in putting wellness into practice. She is currently mobilized to Joint Task Force-Bravo, Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, where she serves as the Installation's Sexual Assault Response Coordinator. As the only RD at Soto Cano, she took advantage of the opportunity to offer her expertise to the SCAB dining facility and the battalion's Holistic Health & Fitness (H2F) program.

Advice for anyone interested in learning more about G4G:
"Take time to navigate G4G online. Oftentimes we dietitians have a tendency to want to create “our own'' educational and promotional materials. G4G has pretty much any resource that we would need to provide comprehensive and easy-to-understand nutrition education to our Service Members. So much more than when I first became an Army RD! If you don’t see what you need, reach out to the G4G team, and they will guide you in the right direction."

In February 2023, GEN McConville, visited SCAB. GEN McConville presented a coin to MAJ McCallister for her G4G projects with the dining facility. |
