What is PTSD and How Does It Relate to Concussion?
Post-traumatic stress disorder describes a group of symptoms that may develop after a traumatic event such as combat exposure, serious injury, motor vehicle crash, domestic violence, or abuse. So, why do we hear about it so often with TBI? Someone may have either condition or both because PTSD and TBI are both caused by a traumatic event. PTSD and concussion symptoms may be similar, which makes it hard to tell which condition you have.
