Implementing a Robust Quality Program – ECRI Institute This webinar focuses on the key elements of developing a quality program. Participants will gain an understanding of the structure and methods of an effective quality program, and they will learn how an organization’s quality program is closely integrated with its patient safety and risk management activities. The MHS Patient Safety Data Snapshot is a monthly compilation of two types of patient safety data: 1) Sentinel Event (SE) notifications submitted to the Patient Safety Analysis Center (PSAC) 2) Anonymous, voluntarily reported patient safety events via the web-based incident reporting system known as PSR.
The MHS Patient Safety Spotlight is a resource designed to highlight best practices and interesting initiatives that come from the field and are worthy of being shared across the enterprise. This resource features data-driven examples of improvement and case studies that tackle specific problems with specific solutions.
TeamSTEPPS Webinar – Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ)
workplace violence on health care workers. Dr. Michael Privitera of the University of Rochester Medical Center will offer recommendations for leadership and management style interventions to implement a strategy to prevent workplace violence while preventing burnout.
Daily Safety Briefing (DSB) Best Practice highlighted in the MHS Leadership Engagement Toolkit published in August 2016. DSBs have shown to foster a culture of safety, create a high level of situational awareness of safety issues for leaders and staff and to promote early identification and resolution of safety issues. After attending, you will understand what a DSB is, how it is used, and learn tips on how to develop and execute an implementation plan. You will also hear about targeted coaching offered by the DoD PSP, including individual coaching and learning action networks.
