As I sat on an airplane one day, the captain made an announcement over the intercom. He said, "Due to mechanical complications, this airplane needs to be grounded for maintenance." We had to exit the plane and wait at the airport for over eight hours before finally taking off. I ended up missing my connecting flight and arrived at my destination a whole day later than originally planned. At first, I was hotter at the airlines than a pot of fried fish grease for altering my plans. But the cooler and calmer side of me gained a unique perspective from this experience.

Electrician Indalecio Morales was in a "bucket" working on power lines when 14,000 volts of electricity shot into his chest, knocking him unconscious. He doesn't recall much about the accident, but vividly recalls his flight here and the "angel" doctor, who never left his side.
