Healthy Base Initiative activities encourage getting up from desk for better health

Sitting and working, reading, surfing the Internet or watching television can increase the risk of diabetes, heart disease, obesity and kidney problems, say researchers. A new study by the National Institutes of Health suggests that a few minutes of moving every hour instead of sitting in a chair might substantially reduce these risks.

Products for concussions hit by FDA

If you suffer from concussions or traumatic brain injuries (TBIs), don’t be tempted to turn to dietary supplements to help you get back on the field. Several dietary supplement manufacturers have promoted products to help with recovery from concussions and TBIs, but there isn’t enough scientific evidence to support these claims.
