We would like to celebrate our Missouri MBDA Business Center, on their success with their client, Kevin Bryant of Kingsway Development. Mr. Bryant has acquired over $78 million in public and private funding for the revitalization of 207 acres of the Kingsway District in St. Louis, MO. He is helping to lead the economic revival of a historically redlined neighborhood north of the Delmar Divide. We are pleased that MBDA’s customized business development and industry-focused services opened Kingsway Development to greater access to capital, contracts, and construction partners.

The Capital Readiness Program connects the Nation’s minority and underserved entrepreneurs with capital to launch and grow their businesses. Through this program, MBDA has launched 43 incubators and accelerators designed specifically to service underserved entrepreneurs. Incubators help newer businesses and start-ups, while accelerators help emerging businesses who are ready to take the next step. The primary purpose of the Capital Readiness Program is to prepare entrepreneurs to secure capital from the Department of Treasury’s State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI), which is a $10 billion capital and technical assistance fund for America’s small businesses. MBDA is making history, as the Capital Readiness Program is the largest-ever Federal investment of its kind in technical assistance for small, minority, and underserved businesses.
